BSideS-Austin

I want to thank everyone involved with Security BSideS for putting on another great event, thankfully this time in my backyard.  I liked the format of the event, just wished I could have seen more of the talks :)   I wasn’t able to make the full day, but I was able to have some great conversations throughout the morning.

I’ve posted my slides here (.pdf).  The talk was a rapid fire recap of SIEM 101 and 201 with some good Q&A and commentary along the way.  I’m happy that my talk turned out to be a conversation more than a lecture and I really appreciate all those who came to talk and interact.  I also enjoy meeting with people and talking about Security or just catching up!

I wish I could have made the Rugged Software talk and RSnake’s Google talk - looking forward to the video replay of those talks.

Great to meet in person with @jackdaniel, @shrdlu, @falconsview, @ColinGrady, @syntaxerr66

Thanks again to #BSidesAustin sponsors Astaro, Panda Security, NSS Labs, Accuvant, Parsons Software Security.
